Hello,
I am Bruce Forstein, the College of Liberal Arts Development Officer for the Center for German & European Studies (CGES).
I’m proud to tell you that CGES has launched a five million dollar capital campaign to endow CGES as a permanent entity at the University of Minnesota. This endowment will insure that in years to come American and German students, faculty, researchers, K-12 teachers, and the public at large will have access to CGES’s unique programs. These programs foster intellectual exchange, innovation, and an ongoing dialogue on issues of importance in today’s world, between people on both sides of the Atlantic. They build bridges between Minnesotans and Europeans and help shape the essential trans-Atlantic relations of the future.
I invite you to join in this undertaking and to become a CGES Friend. Gifts at any level are gratefully accepted. Each gift is a building block toward our common goal: to make sure that the vital work of the Center will continue in perpetuity.
There are several naming opportunities for philanthropic gifts at various giving levels. To discuss this or anything relating to giving to support the Center, please feel free to contact me at 763-545-8821 or forst006@umn.edu.
You can make a gift online or by check. For gifts by check, please make the check payable to the University of Minnesota Foundation. On the memo line, print CGES FUND #7179. Mail your check to University of Minnesota Foundation, CM-3854, P.O. Box 70870, St. Paul, MN 55170-3854.
All gifts to the Center for German & European Studies are tax deductible.
My deepest thanks for your support and for sharing our vision of CGES’s bright future.
Sincerely,
Bruce M. Forstein
